About
With a lifelong interest in health and wellbeing, I am passionate about supporting others through bodywork. I believe emotions can become ‘stuck’ in the body, just as physical pain can affect our emotional state. Whether you are experiencing chronic shoulder pain, sleep difficulties, or simply need a reset after a period of overwhelm, massage therapy can support your journey towards more balanced mind+body wellbeing.
As a licensed massage therapist, I have worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and health needs. After moving to South West Devon five years ago, I began practicing in Totnes and Ivybridge, and now also welcome clients in Plympton.
Committed to ongoing education, I am currently training for Oncology Massage - with the aim to support people living with cancer in a safe, informed and effective way.
My Approach
My massage style blends professional massage therapy training with my experience as a Yoga instructor and Yoga Nidra facilitator. My approach is trauma-informed, and rooted in empathy, respect and listening. I encourage clients to show up as they are, by providing a space that is reassuring and safe - and adapting the massage to each person’s individual needs.
I personally believe that massage therapy should not be painful – rather, I focus on finding the ‘edge’: where sensation is deeply felt, whilst avoiding going into ‘pain territory’.
As part of the massage itself, I offer to add essential oils selected for their specific benefits – clients often find that these oils help them relax more easily, and make the massage therapy even more enjoyable. After each session, I offer gentle guidance on relevant stretches, breathwork and self-care practices to support the healing process beyond the treatment room.
